Sizzle earned her final needed SUPER Q in Crystal Lake Illinois at the 2010 Contact Sports USDAA Agility Trial to earn her AGILITY DOG CHAMPION TITLE "ADCH". Sizzle had a fabulous 57 point snooker run to get the Super Q! I am so proud of my little red dog just one week after her 4th Birthday!

Tam working 8-9 month old lambs and one ram. The lambs have not hardly been worked by dogs and are very light and reactive. This is a great honor at Rising Sun for our Ripley becoming a "Dual Champion"... Rippy finished her herding championship in June at the Great River Stock Dog Trial in Scandia Minnesota. She needed "One" major .... She won advanced ducks going Reserve High in Trial. Anyone that has ever watched Ripley work... She puts her heart and soul 110% into everything that she does. She is one of the most gifted and talented stock dogs that I have had the pleasure to train and trial. In Ripley's younger years... she finished her breed championship with ease... earning several "Best of Breeds" along the way. Ripley is pure class...and proves that great dogs live on through future generations. Ripley is a daughter of our late Dual Champion Magic Mowtion. Her sire is Rhys ... One of Terry Parrish's top talented successful trial dogs. Ripley is one of those "Special" Once in a Life time dogs. How Blessed can we be? Ripley is eleven years old.... and still going strong!

Rising Sun's Blazing Star (Blazer) is certainly living up to her name. She is living up to her potential in the agility ring. She started competing at the age of 2 years, and by the time she was 3 had reached the Excellent level in all AKC events, despite living in Idaho...Where agility trials have been infrequent at best. She is a brilliant competitor, causing people anywhere near the ring to stop and watch her incredibly athletic and fast performances. Her handler, Jan Skurzynski, is working hard to adjust her style to this kind of speed and athleticism. Blazer is a delight to live with, as loving and affectionate at home as she is ferocious in attacking agility courses. We feel extremely fortunate to have her in our lives.

Mac has already been herding the bison. He felt they were constantly getting too close to Dad when I was fixing the fence. I was finally able to convince him to stop after he had moved them from one side of the pasture to the other over a total distance of about ¾ of a mile. I was so proud of him as well as full of fear for his safety. For a dog his age and size he was amazing beyond words in natural talent, speed and bravery. He ran as fast as the bison and his belly was no more than an inch above the ground nearly the whole time. My Father witnessed the incident and he said he could see that Mac was definitely in control of the bison as well as their fear of him. He amazes me every day and loves to play with me; I’m his favorite chew toy that makes noise. He just came and had to give me a kiss out of the blue while I am writing this.

Skeet nailed down the last Masters Gamble he needed for his USDAA Agility Dog Championship (ADCH) at the Red Hot Rovers' trial in Washington on February 6th, 2010. At that same trial he won the Open Masters Snooker Class and qualified in both the Grand Prix and the Steeplechase, placing near the top of the class in both events!

After a long illness ... My mother passed at 81 years of age. She had a deep love for the dogs, animals and the out doors with a "Heart" bigger than the Sun. She will be missed greatly ... I was truly blessed to have a mother with so many tremendous gifts and talents. I know in my heart that she is watching over things at Rising Sun Farm.

God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arm around her and whispered " Come with Me." With tearful eyes we watched her suffer and saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A Golden heart stopped beating; hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.
